How to correctly apply skincare products

Well, as my process of developing better and better skincare practices continues I have come across a discovery that all this time I have been applying skincare products all wrong! And I thought I share this piece of information now because to be honest, it's something a lot of people are probably guilty of doing and that is rubbing face cream and other skincare products on to their face when what you should do is pat skincare products into your face. 

I noticed this was a better method while trying to deal with the irritation one of my skincare products caused, you know the one, the Earth to Skin banana brightening eye cream. When I attempted to pat I found it really helped and was more soothing for my hurt skin. 

It's funny because the Japanese have a belief that you shouldn't tug and rub your skin when applying skincare products either but I never much paid attention. But I guess there's truth in it. 

This is especially relevant if you have extra sensitive skin like me.
