Selfless by Hyram skincare Review

 

Since the announcement of Hyram's skincare I had been eagerly anticipating his release like crazy. Now that the products I ordered arrived, I can report that Hyram's green tea & centella asiataca face cleanser is incredibly gentle (my skin is extremely sensitive BTW), has a wonderful consistency that is great for massaging onto the skin, and has a light scent. Reminding me almost of oatmeal. Where I have to wonder if the base was made with colloidal oatmeal and if so that is something that is good for the skin. But I suspect that it is a scent skincare ingredients give off. Fragrance-free not always being "fragrance-free". 

Besides the face cleanser, I chose to get my hands on Hyram's rainbow algae & retinol repair face serum which of the two was merely just ok for me. With this product I personally don't like the consistency, I prefer face serums with a jelly or gel-like consistency not a runny consistency so for me I have a hard time seeing how this will give my skin any benefits in the long-run. I might still buy in the future but it will be an occasional purchase. I will just stick with the green tea and centella asiataca face cleanser for a staple skincare product. 

But in any case, I want to say I am super excited about the launch of Hyram's skincare line and I am glad I could support Hyram. I am. I am super proud of what he is doing. Especially because ever since I got into skincare I had been looking into a skincare brand that was sustainable but also gave back to others in some way. No offense but a lot of people and companies don't. People are selfish and usually aren't going to give to good causes of their own whatever they say, they tend to be hypocrites. So for me to see someone going out there and saying I care I want to change the world and not be like everyone else which is to be indifferent that just leaves such an impression on me. It's inspiring!

Hyram is by no means a professional. But he has presented skincare in an accessible way for the common person. As a skincare influencer his fame has grown quite quickly, especially during the pandemic and as such he has attracted haters.
